Albert Heck receives prestigious ASMS award for distinguished contributions to mass spectrometry

During the 2026 ASMS conference in San Diego, Albert Heck (Utrecht University) received the prestigious ASMS Award for a Distinguished Contribution in Mass Spectrometry. The award recognizes his pioneering work in native mass spectrometry, particularly the development of methods to study the structure, function, and assembly of large macromolecular complexes such as viruses and immune complexes. During the conference, he delivered an award lecture reflecting on more than 20 years of progress in the field and emphasized that this recognition also belongs to the many researchers, students, and alumni who contributed to the success of the Heck lab over the years. Congratulations to Albert Heck on this well-deserved recognition!
